Paul Harris Fellow Recognition
Since 1985 the Southwick Rotary Club has supported the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is a not for profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programs. One of the key humanitarian programs is POLIOPLUS, which seeks to eradicate the polio virus worldwide by the year 2005. The Rotary Foundation is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision for a better world. Contributions to the Foundation Annual Programs are invested for three years, with interest being used to cover all administrative costs. Every dollar donated goes directly to humanitarian and educational program expenditures three years later. The Rotary Club of Southwick contributes to the Rotary Foundation on a club bases as have individuals.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
RYLA is a program for young people which is intended to develop qualities of leadership, good citizenship and personal development among people of their communities.
Rotary sends second year high school students to attend a a full day seminar held at a local college in Springfield.

Rotary Scholarship Awards
Rotary has been funding academic scholarships since 1983.
In 1997 a new scholarship was designed to assist students in their vocational efforts

World Affairs Seminar
University at Whitewater, Wisconsin
Rotary selects third-year high school students annually to participate in the World Affairs Seminar in Wisconsin. The purpose of the seminar is to bring about a better understanding of the world problems on the part of the high school students through a study of current issues, while at the same time providing the opportunity to discuss those issues with the young people from the countries concerned. Emphasis is placed upon promoting a better understanding of the causes of world conflict with hopes that if the causes are understood, world problems are more likely to be solved peacefully by our future leaders.

In cooperation with Southwick - Tolland Regional High School, The Rotary Club recognizes the senior student of the month who has demonstrated outstanding academic and leadership skills.
